The Cochrane Collaboration has been developing a methodology and publication framework for Systematic Review of Diagnostic Test Accuracy (DTA).  The rationale, key stages, support materials and publication arrangements for these new Cochrane reviews will be outlined, and their role in informing decision makers of the utility and interpretation of diagnostic test results will be detailed.
