Iguaçu Falls

is well known as the world most beautiful waterfalls. This breath-taking scenery is located at the junction of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. To admire this spectacle of the falls you can choose from walking along the walkways to the edge of the falls, or you can go by boat to the base of the falls, or if you prefer can get an over view of the waterfalls by helicopter. At the National Park of Iguaçú Falls you will see one of the biggest diversity of wildlife. You can find at the North of the city Itapúa one of the largest hydroelectric of the world.

The wildlife also dazzles visitors who venture into the Amazon, Northern region of the country. There, it is possible to see rare mammals, birds and reptiles, among over 250 catalogued species. The most commonly known in the rivers are the manatee, nutria, pink boto (dolphin), açu-crocodile, piracuru and tambaqui. On land, one can find the flag-anteater and the jabuti turtle. Resting on trees, macaw, parquet and parrots; and much more. Find delight in experiencing the exuberance of the Brazilian fauna.

Tours in São Paulo and Surroundings
Sight-seeing in the city of São Paulo and surroundings will also be possible, providing to you with the opportunity to know this city.
São Paulo 1 - departure Saturdays or Sundays Duration 06 hrs. To be available in October 27 and 28, 2007.
The departure from the hotel at 8:30 am. Arrival at “Parque Estadual da Cantareira”, North zone of São Paulo city, where we will walk along a trail to Pedra Grande. During the 9500m track, about 3 hours time, we will be able to see many different species of animals and plants, some even threatened with extinction. At the end of the walk, there is a wonderful view of the city of São Paulo. We do not recommend the journey for people with medical or physical problems because of its long extent. Lunch in the restaurant “AS VÉIA”, which offers typical Brazilian food with self-service. One hour and a half pause, at most.

São Paulo 2 - Half Day - Daily (mornings or afternoons)Duration 4 hrs.
Departure from hotel at 8:30 a.m. or at 2.00 p.m. Walking Tour around the Historical Center, visiting Sé Square, Pátio do Colégio, Solar da Marquesa and São Bento Monastery. Panoramic Tour (by car) to the extended Historical Center, from where can observe the Museum of Sacred Art, the Pinacoteca (Museum of paintings), Jardim da Luz, Quarter „da Luz”, the Palace of Industries and the Municipal Market. We will continue towards Paulista Av. passing by República Square, that used to be a trading center from the 20s to the 40s. MASP, considered the most important art museum from Latin America, and the Trianon Park are the main sights of Paulista Av. At the end of our tour, still in Paulista Av., we will stop at Casa das Rosas (House of Roses), built according to the French classicism style by Ramos de Azevedo’s office, where different exhibitions take place.

Santos and Guarujá – Daily Duration 8 hrs.
Departure from the hotel at 8 a.m. Arrival at Santos at about 9:30 a.m. Tour around the harbor (on land) passing by the building of the Coffee Exchange, landmark of the wealth brought by the „green gold”; and by different warehouses, arriving at the Municipal Market. Continue to Ponte dos Práticos to board the boat to cross the port channel and arrive at Barra Grande Fortress, which was built in 1584 to protect Santos from the attack of pirates. The 28,000 m2 fortress stands there for more than 400 years, and from there there’s a beautiful view of the harbor and beaches: Santos, Praia Grande, São Vicente, Guarujá, and the counter-fortresses of Cubatão and Quilombo. Return at Ponte dos Práticos at about 1 p.m.

One hour and a half stop for lunch (not included). Visit of about 45 minutes to the Municipal Orchids Park. The Orchids Park is a 22,240 square meters zoobotanic park, which mixes features of beautiful gardens with those of the forests, mainly species from the Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest). Besides the flora, the Orchids Park keeps many species of wild animals and birds in freedom.
Tour along the seaside towards the end of the beach, where we will take the ferry boat to Guarujá. Sightseeing of the most important beaches of Guarujá: Guaiúba, rich in vegetation and that was one of the last to be discovered; Tombo, good to practice surf because of its wild sea; Astúrias, whose main attractions are the fishermen boats and the fish market, beyond being an excellent place to swim; Pitangueiras, the most commercial area; and finally Praia da Enseada, where the lively restaurants and pubs are located and whose beach is full of wind-surf boards and jet-skis in the summer.

Embu das Artes - Saturdays and Sundays Duration 8 hrs. To be available in October 27 and 28, 2007
A legend tells that the Priest Belchior de Pontes walked up from Itanhaém to the plateau to find a place to found a Jesuit School. On his way, he got lost in the forest. An Indian helped him and took him, unconscious, to a hut. The Indian left him to bring water and didn’t come back. Afterwards they found him dead surrounded by a big snake, called M’Boy in the Guarani language. The first name of the village was given after the snake: M’Boy that turned to Embu afterwards.At the end of the 60s, Embu was the picture of the slogan „Peace and love“from the hippie movement. Invited by the local artists, hippie’s craftsmen started coming to the city on weekends, making exhibitions of their work on the main streets, beside the land crafts. That’s how the Arts and Craft Fair, which takes place there every weekend, began, since 1969.The huge success of this fair, which attracts inside and outside visitors, thrive a permanent trade of crafts, antiques, country styled furniture shops and art galleries, which have become the trade mark of the city.In this whole day tour we will visit the main sights of the city,
