Developing country stipends

The Cochrane Collaboration is committed to promoting and supporting the involvement of contributors to the Collaboration who are from developing countries.  Stipends are available to help cover travel costs and other expenses associated with attending the Cochrane Colloquium in Brazil. The deadline for applying for a developing country stipend was 25 June 2007.

Eligibility

Contributors to The Cochrane Collaboration who are permanent residents in developing countries (low- and middle-income economies as defined by the World Bank Country Classification List were eligible to apply. All contributors applying for a stipend were eligible to apply for partial funding only. 

Contributors who received a Developing Country Stipend for the 2006 Colloquium and those based in developing countries categorised as upper-middle income countries, who receive such a stipend for the 2007 Colloquium, are required to fund at least their own registration fee.
