How to apply

How to apply
1.  Request a letter of support from the Cochrane entity with which you are affiliated. The letter of support should be sent from the Cochrane entity directly to the Consumer Stipends Committee stipend.colloquium@bireme.org.  Letters of support should be in English and should include the following information:

• A brief description of your involvement with the entity, including the duration of your involvement and the nature of your contributions.
• The reasons why the entity is interested in supporting your application.

2. Complete an application form.

Applications need to be submitted in English. Please remember to include the following information with your application:
•          Any contribution that you have made to the work of The Cochrane Collaboration.
•          Indicate which Cochrane Entity is supporting your application.
•          Details of any contribution that you will be making during the Colloquium.
•          Details of your contribution to consumer activities in your community.
•          Anything else you think might be helpful for us to know about you and your application for a stipend.

Complete application forms should be send to the Consumer Stipends Committee either by email stipend.colloquium@bireme.org 

What happens next?
Applications will be acknowledged by e-mail within 2-3 working days.  Applications will then be screened and those meeting the eligibility criteria will be considered by the Consumer Stipends Committee.  You will be notified of the results of your application by Monday 30 July 2007.  Please include a fax or telephone number, or an e-mail address, for us to contact you at this time.
