Objective: To describe the process that GRADE used to develop criteria for assessing the quality of evidence for diagnostic tests.
Summary:
The GRADE approach to grading the quality of evidence and strength of recommendations for interventions is now widely applied by many organizations and forms the basis for creating Cochrane Summary of Findings tables. The GRADE working group has also developed an approach to grading the quality of evidence in diagnostic reviews. This workshop will introduce this approach based on examples and hands-on exercises.
Intended audience: Review authors focusing on diagnostic questions.
Technical level expected of participants: Basic.
