Objective: To understand the Cochrane and EPOC processes from title registration to review publication and to understand the review methods which are very common in EPOC reviews.
Summary:
This workshop will address specific issues related to writing EPOC reviews such as:
• Defining an appropriate question
• Using the EPOC taxonomy
• Determining which study designs to include
• Designing the optimal search strategy for an EPOC review
• Using the EPOC register
• Dealing with multiple designs within one review
• Lumping and splitting issues
• Analyzing data from complex interventions
The audience will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
Intended audience: (i) EPOC review authors; (ii) authors of other reviews of complex interventions.
Technical leve l expected of participants: Basic/Intermediate.
